Children with disabilities are like butterflies with a broken wing. They are just as beautiful as all others, but they need help to spread their wings.

Business leaders back on stage to raise $735,250

Presented by the National Bank and Desjardins in September 2016, the sixth edition of the Cabaret on Mount-Royal featured the initiator of the event, Mr. Jean R. Fabi, President of FlexGroup, Mr. Barry Lorenzetti, President of BFL Canada, Mr. Tom Quinn, President of Quinn Sport Management Group, Mr. Mario Chapentier, BCF Corporate Lawyer, and Mr. Barry Kohler, President of Bell Helicopter Textron Canada. We also had the opportunity to discover what would no doubt be one of the greatest voices of Quebec if, one day, Dr. Marie-Danielle Gendron had not chosen medicine over the performing arts.

These six artists were accompanied by fourteen professional musicians and backup singers as well as guest pianist Marie Fabi who performed brilliantly under the musical direction of Philippe Turcotte. Between two classics of the sixties to the eighties, the Co-Chairman of the event, Mr. Pierre Boivin presented to the Quebec Society for Disabled Children the net amount of $735,250 which will be dedicated to funding the stimulation, rehabilitation, respite, and regionalization programs which the Society offers to disabled children and their families across the province.

Since the very first edition in 2011, the Cabaret enabled to raise close to 3,3 million dollars for the benefit of the Quebec Society for Disabled Children. The next edition of the Cabaret on Mount-Royal will be held on Thursday, September 14th, 2017 at the Casino de Montreal.
